Darfur is called as “realm of the fur”. It is a small region in Sudan. It was integrated as a part of Sudan by the Anglo Egyptian forces. It is considered as an independent sultanate for more than hundred years. Darfur has been divided into 3 distinct federal states namely the West Darfur, The South Darfur and The North Durfur. All these states are synchronized by the Transitional Darfur Regional Authority. This region had been in a state of emergency since 2003 because of the war in Darfur. Rains are vital to this region and they convert the region from dusty brown to pleasant verdant green.
